British Gypsum has launched a range of Green Deal training courses designed to address the competence requirements for installers of internal wall and pitched roof insulation as outlined in PAS 2030.

The courses feature training on minimising air leakage and thermal bridging in hard to treat solid walls. The pitched roof insulation programme explores improving thermal performance in both existing and new-build loft conversions.

British Gypsum has also partnered with ConstructionSkills to develop a five-day course for tradespeople who have not previously installed internal wall lining systems. This introductory course has been designed to meet national occupational standards and requirements of the Green Deal.

British Gypsum will also support attendees in gaining a formal qualification upon completing their course by arranging site visits from one of its qualified assessors. Following this assessment, attendees have the opportunity to gain a NVQ Level 2 in insulation and building treatments for internal wall linings and pitched roof insulation.

British Gypsum’s Green Deal training courses are available nationwide via the network of Saint-Gobain technical academies. To book a course visit www.british-gypsum.com/technical_advice/training.aspx or call 0844 561 8810.
