British Gypsum will be showcasing its latest innovations in interior lining solutions at Ecobuild 2013 (5-7 March 2013, ExCeL, London). A portfolio of solutions from the plaster and drylining manufacturer will be featured across the 225m2 Saint-Gobain stand, which has been designed in a ‘day in the life’ format to illustrate how products and systems from the company’s UK businesses feature in everyday life.

Visitors to the show will be able to discover more about the manufacturer’s newest innovations, including the Gyptone range of ceiling systems with ACTIVair technology, on parent company Saint-Gobain’s stand N310.

The Gyptone ACTIVair ceiling range is just one of the new additions to the British Gypsum portfolio making its Ecobuild premiere. Purpose designed to improve the functionality and quality of day-to-day living and working environments, ACTIVair technology features a mineral additive that converts and stores volatile organic compounds ( VOCs), preventing them from being re-emitted into the atmosphere and negating their potentially harmful effects. Alongside practical considerations, ACTIVair can also support specifiers in achieving BREEAM ratings by specifically addressing the ‘Indoor Air Quality’ element, Hea O2.

In addition to its new solutions, British Gypsum will also be outlining the latest advances that support customers in addressing environmental considerations on a project. This includes the recent BES 6001 ‘very good’ certification for a core range of its products that enables customers to receive more points and credits as part of BREEAM and the Code for Sustainable Homes.

“Understanding that sustainability is an ever increasing priority on construction projects, British Gypsum has made significant advances in developing its products and manufacturing processes with environmental considerations in mind, and improving the support services available to help drive forward sustainable practices within the supply chain”, said Natalie Davenport, head of marketing communications at British Gypsum.

“As the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment, Ecobuild provides the perfect platform for us to update customers on how we can support their sustainability requirements. It’s also a great way to get a further understanding of customers’ day-to-day challenges so we can develop positive innovations that really make a tangible difference.”
