The new British Airways i360 visitor attraction in Brighton is a slender 530ft tower and glass viewing pod offering 360-degree views. Beneath this new landmark structure is the Beach Building, which houses the attraction’s event space, shop and restaurant.
Within the Beach Building’s dramatic glass facade are six pairs of sliding glass doors powered by GEZE’s Slimdrive SL NT single operators. Their slim design and drive unit height of just 7cm make them almost invisible in elevation, ideally complementing the aesthetic of the glazed frontage.
GEZE Slimdrive SL NT operators are also virtually silent in operation and provide safe and easy access in high-traffic areas, being able to withstand the potentially strong winds associated with a beach-side location.
