100% recycled gypsum plasterboard VIVACycle™ launched by Siniat to improve construction circularity
Construction materials specialist Siniat is enabling architects, contractors and specifiers to meet circular economy goals with the launch of VIVACycle™ – a plasterboard made from 100% recycled gypsum.
VIVACycle™ offers the same performance as Siniat’s standard plasterboard yet is manufactured using 100% recycled gypsum, typically comprising 97% post-consumer waste and 3% pre-consumer waste, and paper facers composed of 96% recycled fibre.¹
VIVACycle™ is a practical solution to reducing waste, supporting moves to design and build in line with circular economy principles. It has been developed to support sustainable project goals, including BREEAM and Circular Economy Statements required by local development strategies such as the London Plan.

The construction industry accounts for about 60% of waste in the UK and approximately 40% of waste sent to landfill. Key environmental objectives such as Net Zero targets and the Environmental Improvement Plan all work towards eliminating avoidable waste and increasing recycling rates.
