Parkeray has won Project of the Year for its fit out work at Google’s offices in London at this year’s AIS Contractors Awards.

Comprising six categories, which cover a wide range of interior disciplines, the awards provide  recognition to AIS contractor members who have delivered outstanding projects of exceptional quality and value.

This year, Parkeray took the top prize of Project of the Year for its 15,000m2 fit out at Google’s offices in London. Winner of the Interior Fit-Outs – Offices category, guest judge, Clive Hall of BDG Architecture and Design summed it up as “A stunning interior that reflects an ever-changing organisation.” Architect, Penson also received an award.

AIS chief executive, David Frise, said: “The need in the current climate to deliver high-quality projects on budget and on time has never been more important and members continue to achieve this in ever-shortening project timescales – this alone makes them worthy of our coveted awards.”

Gold awards were:

Interior Fit Out – Offices was presented to Parkeray for its work at Google’s offices in London.

Interior Fit Out – Retail and Leisure was presented to Claremont Interiors Group for its involvement with the Fayair’s VIP lounge in Stansted Airport.

Interior Fit Out – Healthcare and Education was presented to Pexhurst Services for its fit-out at the University of Hertfordshire atrium.

Interior Fit Out – Other was presented to Beacons Business Interiors for its installation at Glaslyn (Project Green) in Newport.

The Ceilings award was presented to Taylor Hart for its contract at the National Football Academy in Staffordshire.

The Partitioning award was presented to Planet Partitioning for its project at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge.

The Drywall Construction award was presented to Stortford Interiors for its work at the American Express headquarters in Brighton.

The Specialist Joinery award was presented to Thorpes of Great Glen for its project at Evercore, London.

The Operable Walls award was presented to Accordial Wall Systems for its contract at the Ibis Hotel at Earls Court, London.
