Women into Construction is now accepting applications from unemployed women living in London who are interested in finishing and interiors. So if you are considering a career in construction, read on.
The Women into Finishing & Interiors – Build Back Employment Programme enrolment event will be held on Tuesday 11 October 2022 – 11 am until 2 pm at Southwark Construction Skills Centre. Here delegates can find out more about this exciting programme and the opportunities within Finishing & Interiors!
The programme is open to women of all ages in London, and the six-week programme starts on 31 October 2022. It includes training to obtain a CSCS card and work placements in a variety of trades such as Drylining, Plastering and Interior Systems Installations. Job opportunities are available upon completion of the programme.
Full 1-2-1 support will be provided by Women into Construction, including childcare & transport costs.
For interested candidates, please follow the next steps by no later than Midday Thursday 6th October:
Step 1: Complete Online Expression of Intrest Form EOI Form
Step 2: Complete Online WiC Registration Form Reg Form
Step 3: Make sure the original suitable documents are available so that WiC can check the eligibility for the ESF-funded programme. These documents will include:
- Passport
- Driving License or Provisional License
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Citizenship Status
- Right to Work documents (if applicable)
- Proof of address (Utility bill, bank statement, letter from NHS / government body etc dated within 3 months)
- Proof of benefits that you are receiving (letter from Job Centre / DWP, Online screenshot of Universal Credit Statement etc)
- National Insurance Number
- CV (if you have one)
