PCTS was recently approached by Infinium, an American interior fit-out specialist, to develop a bespoke fully automatic telescopic glazed straight sliding system. The request came as part of a high-profile project located in Cleveland, Ohio, where the client required a sophisticated, seamless solution that combined functionality with architectural elegance.

Following a series of virtual collaboration meetings between the two teams, PCTS proposed its Wave Panel system. Each panel is 71mm thick, constructed from low-iron toughened glass, flush-glazed within a powder-coated aluminium frame in RAL 9005 for a sleek, modern finish.

The installation features a top-hung suspension system comprising of six lines of modified track. This configuration was specially engineered to minimise overall track width while maintaining smooth operation. The entire system is suspended from a steel beam offsetting a 450mm suspended ceiling void, ensuring a clean and integrated aesthetic finish.

The final configuration consists of six electrically operated panels – one fixed and five sliding – moving in a fully synchronized motion to one side. The system spans an opening measuring 6.931m wide by 2.850m high and is operated via an intuitive touchscreen monitor.

Despite facing logistical challenges and imposed tariffs, PCTS successfully delivered the system on time. The installation was carried out by Infinium, with technical support provided directly by PCTS.

This collaboration highlights PCTS’s ability to deliver complex, high specification glazing solutions internationally, reinforcing its reputation for engineering excellence and responsive client service.
