Over the last twelve months, OWA has been working hard to support its customers, with the launch of new acoustic innovations, upgrades to existing products and investment in its technical services – here’s a quick look at some of the company’s most memorable milestones from 2025.
Offering sound solutions for acoustic ceilings
A key highlight for OWA in 2025 has been the evolution of its popular Sinfonia range with the launch of Sinfonia Balance 25, a new acoustic ceiling tile designed to deliver the perfect balance between sound absorption and sound attenuation. This innovation provides architects and contractors with greater flexibility, enabling them to tailor acoustic performance to the specific needs of each project. Sinfonia Balance 25 combines excellent technical values with a refined visual finish, making it suitable for a wide range of environments where both clarity and comfort are essential.
At the same time, the growing popularity of OWA’s Sinfonia Black acoustic ceiling tile has led the company to extend the choice of grid systems, responding to the enduring trend for industrial inspired interiors. Black modular ceilings are increasingly specified in leisure environments such as bars, restaurants, and hotels, and are now being adopted in retail spaces and commercial corridors. To meet this customer need, OWA has recently introduced a new matt black ceiling grid.
The OWAconstruct T24 demountable suspended ceiling grid, already available in 20% gloss white and black is now offered with finely textured matt black profiles. The matt black 24 mm exposed grid also features a special coating that resists fingerprints and maintains a consistent appearance under varied lighting conditions.
Keeping costs keen for customers
As well as investing in its product offering, OWA has been looking at how it can better support its customers during what has been for many a challenging year. One highlight has been the introduction of Brillianto100, a competitively priced mineral ceiling tile designed to combine outstanding acoustic performance with a bright, elegant finish. Brillianto100 offers maximum sound absorption (αw = 1.00), excellent reaction to fire (A2-s1,d0) and a smooth white fleece surface that reflects light effectively, making it ideal for offices, schools, and healthcare environments where both acoustic comfort and visual clarity are essential.
To support the launch, OWA has been running a special promotion, with projects using Brillianto100 eligible for Amazon vouchers worth £100, £200 or £500. The promotion runs until March 2026 so there’s still time to get involved.
OWA has also recently reduced the price of its S14 stocked black and white OWAtecta 2 x 1m perforated metal canopies. These new prices will make them extremely competitive to equivalent, less durable, glass wool absorber canopies. OWA’s metal canopies offer exceptional value, helping customers to manage budgets while continuing to access high quality solutions.
Supporting sustainable choices
Sustainability remained a key focus for OWA and this year the company released Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its full range of mineral ceiling tiles, giving customers the transparency they need to make informed, environmentally responsible choices. EPDs provide independently verified data on the environmental impact of our products across their life cycle, from raw material extraction through to disposal. This means architects, contractors, and clients can confidently specify OWA ceilings and benefit from OWA’s commitment to manufacturing all its mineral ceiling tiles using a unique formulation designed to minimise environmental impact and promote healthy indoor spaces. OWA’s mineral tiles contain no added formaldehyde or harmful chemical resins, relying instead on organic binders made from starch.
Looking ahead to 2026
In 2026, OWA will unveil new solutions that continue to push boundaries in both design and performance. One of the most anticipated additions is the new Selecta Hemp ceiling canopy and Natura hemp straw tiles which introduce natural fibres into the company’s UK portfolio. Hemp offers a distinctive aesthetic with a warm, organic texture, while also supporting sustainable building practices. It’s a product that not only looks different but feels different, bringing a fresh dimension to ceiling design. To be the first to know about this exciting new product, keep an eye on OWA’s website and follow the company on LinkedIn.
At the same time, the company has been busy behind the scenes facilitating training opportunities for its installer customers to work with OWAplan acoustic plaster. This seamless system combines high levels of sound absorption with a smooth, monolithic finish, making it ideal for contemporary spaces where clean lines and acoustic comfort are equally important. OWAplan allows architects and contractors to achieve uninterrupted ceiling surfaces without compromising on performance, and the company’s training is a key part of ensuring that every installation delivers the quality and precision customers expect.
In 2026, OWA also be developing its technical offering to better support its customers to meet the industry’s ever-increasingly stringent regulations and targets, from fire safety to acoustic requirements in schools.
