Amanda Martin’s Stop Tool Theft campaign recently shared an important update: the second reading of the Bill, originally scheduled for 25 April, did not take place due to a lack of parliamentary time. While this is disappointing, there is still a chance it could receive its second reading before the end of the parliamentary year in July.

In the meantime, Amanda took the opportunity to raise the issue directly with the Prime Minister during Prime Minister’s Questions. You can watch the exchange here:

Amanda continues to engage with Ministers and Special Advisers at the Ministry of Justice, and an exciting ministerial meeting is scheduled to further push the case for action. The campaign remains very much active.
