Derby-based design and fit-out specialist DSP (Interiors) has successfully completed and handed over its third project for industrial supply group Hayley Dexis, further strengthening a long-standing partnership between the two businesses.
Acting as both Principal Designer and Principal Contractor, DSP delivered a full turnkey design and fit-out of Hayley Dexis’ new premises at Genesis Park in Leicester – a strategically important growth area for the business.
The 6,750 sq. ft unit has transformed from an empty shell into a bespoke office and warehouse facility, strengthening Hayley Dexis’ presence in the Midlands.
DSP delivered a full turnkey design and fit-out, including building control coordination alongside all mechanical, electrical and plumbing works.
The ground floor includes a lobby and waiting area, open-plan office space, an amenity block with toilets and breakout facilities and a trade counter. The first floor, built on an existing mezzanine, features an open-plan office with tea point, a dedicated training room and a manager’s office.
The Leicester scheme follows two previous successful projects delivered by DSP for Hayley Dexis, including a recent site in Burton, and reflects the strength of the ongoing partnership between the teams.
Garry Waters, manager at Hayley Dexis said the established working relationship had played a key role in the appointment.
Garry said: “We have been delighted with the two previous projects the team at DSP (Interiors) had carried out for us, everything they did was top quality work.
“Leicester is a key growth area for Hayley Dexis, so it was important that we had a partner we could trust to deliver the right environment.
“But we felt it was only right to get quotes from two other firms before starting on this project and DSP still came out top. They supported us through planning issues, building regs and they always come back with suggestions that are improvements.
“I am on the phone to them daily and I can’t think of a single negative moment – they are an absolute pleasure to deal with.”
