To work with its range of sheathing boards for steel framed system (SFS) walling, Euroform has developed a new, A1 non-combustible breather membrane named Surebreathe™.

Surebreathe™ has been engineered specifically for use with Euroform’s Versaroc® MPA1, A2 Versapanel® and A1 Easyboard® cement based sheathing boards.

In addition to Class A1 non-combustibility in accordance with EN 13501-1, Surebreathe™ delivers Class W2 vapour resistance in accordance with EN 13859-2.

“From the many site visits we carry out and general stakeholder feedback, we recognised that there is often a lack of assurance as to the compatibility of the multitude of breather membranes with sheathing boards,” explains John Taylor, Euroform’s Technical Director.

“With the addition of Surebreathe™ to Euroform’s A1 and A2 rated sheathing board range, designers and installers can specify products from a single source with confidence of their compatibility and suitability within a wall build up.  Surebreathe™ addresses this with an emphasis on building safety.”

For use on the exterior of lightweight SFS walls, the vapour permeable, airtight and watertight Surebreathe™ membrane is available with associated joint tapes.

It is easy to cut and can be installed by a variety of methods depending on the project and site-specific requirements such as wind loads, length of exposure prior to the installation of the supporting brackets for the cladding/finish, building height and location.

Surebreathe™ is UV resistant for up to three months.

Euroform has been developing, fabricating and supplying materials for the construction industry since 1995, specialising in ensuring fire and thermal compliance across its product range.  It is part of the Performance Technology Group, a group of companies supporting the construction industry to meet acoustic, fire, thermal and vibration challenges.
