GO Interiors Dunstable has successfully delivered its fourth ‘Women in Construction’ event, bringing together women from across the interiors and construction sector for an afternoon of networking, shared experiences and industry discussion.
Held in London, the event welcomed attendees from customer organisations, sub-contractors and manufacturer partners. Since its first year, the initiative has continued to grow and reflects GO Interiors’ ongoing commitment to supporting women across the industry.
This year’s event was sponsored by Knauf Ceiling Solutions, further strengthening the long-standing partnership between the two businesses.
Depot Manager, Lucy Barker, commented:
“It’s brilliant to see this event grow each year. The conversations we had on the day really highlighted how valuable it is for women across the industry to come together and support one another.”
The event was coordinated by Assistant Depot Manager, Rosie Lofting, with support from the wider Dunstable team.
Amanda Connolly of Knauf Ceiling Solutions added:
“We’re proud to support initiatives that encourage greater representation and connection for women across the interiors sector. Events like this create meaningful opportunities for discussion, collaboration and shared learning, and we are delighted to continue our partnership with GO Interiors.”
Owner and Director Gerard Abbott-Drake said:
“54% of our team — including sales, head office, manager and director positions — are women, compared to the industry standard of just 14.7%. We are proud of our culture and committed to fostering an inclusive environment where talented individuals from all backgrounds can thrive.”
As an independent business, GO Interiors prides itself on delivering ‘Guaranteed Outstanding Service’, underpinned by strong relationships with customers and manufacturing partners.
