It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Keith Adams, founder of Great Yarmouth Ceilings, established in 1977.
Keith built the business as a family company, grounded in strong values of integrity, hard work and professionalism. From its early beginnings as a suspended ceilings contractor, GYC developed into a respected interiors specialist, delivering coordinated packages across a range of sectors including commercial, education and healthcare.
Central to this growth was Keith’s commitment to doing things properly prioritising quality, reliability and long-term relationships. These principles became embedded within the business and continue to guide its approach today.
Nearly five decades on, GYC remains a family led company under the direction of Keith’s son, Stuart, who continues to uphold the standards and ethos established from the outset. The company’s reputation across East Anglia, London and the South East stands as a testament to the strength of those foundations.
Keith’s contribution extends beyond the business itself. He represents a generation of industry leaders who built lasting companies through consistency, trust and a clear sense of responsibility to both clients and colleagues.
He will be remembered with great respect by those who worked alongside him and within the wider interiors and finishes sector.
