The legs are manufactured from FSC registered solid oak timber as well as the optional central planter which has dovetail joints. The planter has been designed to incorporate a range of biophilia which improves wellbeing in the workplace.
The table has been developed to also incorporate different power options and phone charging with a light option too. The table can be specified at a number of lengths starting at 2.2m long up to 5.2m long and beyond.
It is 1.4m wide as standard. Also available as a poseur height. The table is ideal to be specified for the agile working environment, library areas, as a collaboration table, touch down work area etc. Matching stools available at standard or poseur height.
How the new product was developed, including effective collaboration, knowledge transfer and partnership along the project team
The Agilita Colab table has been designed following following feedback from designers looking for furniture incorporating biophilia, power modules, phone charging and lighting. The table has been designed to optimise the use of amazing sustainable materials for the work surface and mitigates the cost and waste of buying large sheets by using 600mm deep worktop which is great for touchdown and colaboration. By using this size the usual 1200mm deep material can be split to create this saving. A huge range of worktop options can now be used, recycled clothing, recycled CDs. A great option is to use planing waste with timber shaving and using plaster and cement waste to form a bio binding material too.
We collaborated with James from Bachmann on the integral power options and Nick Sheepy from Humanscale on the wireless phone charging and lighting.
