CCPI Demand Side Supporters are leading demand-side organisations who have stepped up to support the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) and signed a pledge to work with their strategic suppliers and manufacturers to drive CCPI conformance and raise standards in the industry.
CCPI is delighted to welcome Lyons & Annoot Ltd as the first sub-contractor demand-side organisation to join the CCPI Demand-Side Supporters. In becoming a CCPI Supporter, Lyons & Annoot Ltd are committing to supporting the CCPI and requiring their strategic suppliers and manufacturers of construction products in their supply chain to register with CCPI and ensure that their product information for the products they supply the company is assessed against the CCPI.
The pledge includes a focus that CCPI conformance will be delivered as soon as possible and has a timebound commitment for delivery. To this end and wherever possible, CCPI Supporters are committed to introducing this commitment into supply agreements as a preference and prioritising working with strategic suppliers and manufacturers who prioritise delivery of CCPI assessment and conformance.
Amanda Long, Chief Executive of CPI Ltd, the not-for-profit organisation set-up to independently assess CCPI conformance said, ‘I am delighted to welcome Lyons & Annoot to our CCPI Demand-side Supporters as our first sub-contractor organisation. We are seeing CCPI rapidly becoming a ‘must have’ for businesses that want to be fit for purpose to be part of the future of the industry. We strongly encourage other demand-side organisations to join our community of organisations who are committed to supporting CCPI to raise standards in product information and marketing.’
Dave Mills, Business Development Director of Lyons & Annoot ltd. added ‘It is a great honour that we are the first CCPI sub-contractor Demand-side Supporter. We will be requesting our strategic supply chain to make progress in ensuring that they are CCPI compliant – this is not a ‘nice to have’, this will be a ‘must have’ for suppliers of materials that are used in the buildings and projects in which we work. We review the competencies and the Skills, Knoweldge, Experience and Behaviours of our operating teams, we need to be carrying out the same due diligence with the materials that we use- and Lyons & Annoot are delighted that an organisation like CPI are working on this as this is something that has
been missed by so many.’’
