With a 32 mm stroke length and several redesigned features, the new Hilti SR 6-A22 Cordless reciprocating saw aims to be a cut above the competition in safety, cutting speed and handling.
The saw’s new patented chuck has been specifically designed to avoid breaks, in addition to which a keyless blade clamp with a new external lever makes it much easier to remove used blades.
Hilti has improved the ergonomics of the front and rear grip as well as the trigger for improved control and precision in every working position, it also has a built-in tethering point for when users are working at heights or on scaffolding.
The tool is equipped with a brushless motor that increases tool lifetime and minimises repairs as well as bright LED lights to maximise precision cutting.
The SR 6-A22 is capable of cutting all types of materials, such as steel, plastic, aerated concrete and timber. Recip saws are renowned problem-solver tools to cut other materials including stainless steel and aluminium, metal pipes and conduits, reinforcing bars, threaded rods and metal profiles as well as window frames, woodwork and plastics.
The SR 6-A22 is part of the Hilti 22V cordless tool platform that consists of tools for drilling, chiselling, cutting, sawing, grinding, direct fastening, and many other applications. All Hilti 22V batteries use the same charger and can power any of the tools in the range.
The SR 6-A22 can be obtained through Hilti Fleet Management, whereby a fixed monthly charge covers all service and repair costs up to three years.
For customers who prefer to own the tools outright, Hilti Tool Service gives a complete no-cost period of two years, which includes the same high level of cover. Following the initial no-cost period repair costs are capped, and the company promises a turnaround time of ‘3 days or FREE’.
