Construction Industry Leaders Issue ‘Embodied Carbon Reality Check’: Urge Government for Taxation Reform and Industry-Wide Education to Hit Net Zero.
A new white paper calls for “decisive action” and “collaboration over competition” to meet sustainability targets
Komfort Partitioning, with support of the FIS, announced the release of its new white paper, Designing & Building Sustainably: The Embodied Carbon Reality Check. The paper summarises the critical findings from a collaborative roundtable held on 16 October, which brought together key players from the design, manufacturing and construction sectors to directly confront the challenges of achieving a circular economy in commercial fit-out.
The roundtable successfully moved “beyond theory” to pinpoint the practical, economic and systemic barriers currently hindering Net Zero ambitions in the sector. The core principle driving the discussion was “Collaboration over Competition,” affirming a strong industry-wide desire for “real change” across the entire supply chain.
