As demand continues to grow for acoustic ceiling solutions that combine an attractive finish with both sound absorption and insulation, OWA has expanded its popular Sinfonia range with the launch of Sinfonia Balance 25. This new 25mm thick, smooth, white, fleece-covered acoustic ceiling tile is not only a class A sound absorber, but also offers the additional benefit of 40 dB sound insulation.

This new option strengthens the versatility of OWA’s Sinfonia range, offering architects, contractors and installers even more choice when designing for acoustic comfort across education, healthcare, commercial and retail environments.

Sinfonia Balance 25 has been designed for use in a variety of different spaces where both reverberation control and speech privacy are important. From classrooms and meeting rooms to open-plan offices, Sinfonia Balance 25 provides a balanced acoustic solution with a clean, modern finish.

OWA’s core mineral wool is bound together with liquified clay to create a solid core material and in the case of Sinfonia Balance 25, a denser ceiling tile that offers higher levels of sound absorption and insulation. OWA manufactures all its mineral wool tiles from natural and recycled materials using a wet-felt process, and as no formaldehyde resin is used, the products have a negligible VOC content which contributes to improved indoor air quality.

The new tile joins a well-established range of acoustic ceiling solutions manufactured and supplied by OWA across the UK. The Sinfonia range also includes Silencia, another class A sound absorber which is a popular choice in the education sector as it contributes to quieter interiors and improved speech intelligibility.

Where speech privacy is a priority, the high level of sound attenuation offered by Sinfonia Privacy makes it the perfect match for boardrooms, consulting rooms and other confidential settings. With a sound attenuation of up to 40 dB and class C sound absorption, this 20 mm thick tile supports acoustic performance without compromising on aesthetics.

For projects where high performance is still required but budgets are tighter, the original 15 mm Sinfonia tile offers the same attractive finish with class A sound absorption. This option is appropriate for use across a wide range of environments including classrooms, healthcare facilities, offices and retail spaces.

The Sinfonia range of acoustic tiles, including the new Sinfonia Balance 25, forms a complete suspended ceiling system when combined with OWA’s exposed ceiling grid and perimeter trim.
