Sektor has completed a unique project with SJS Property Services at the Golf Academy for Loretto School in Edinburgh, which perfectly combines practical tuition space and private indoor studios and office accommodation.

Completed in just six months giving pupils access at the start of the new academic year, the Sektor team delivered a partitioning system that seamlessly sits alongside the academy’s new indoor golf practice facilities (putting green, driving  and chipping/pitching areas). The specified system ensures that each private studio offers a quiet and bright environment for independent study, as well as excellent visibility out onto the practical golfing area.

Steve Crompton, sales director at Sektor, said: “Working closely with SJS Property Services, the Sektor team analysed each element of the academy’s technical requirements and advised on an appropriate system that would also integrate with the new indoor putting green.

“Full height glazed panels were selected to make the most of the available light and to give the feel of openness whilst delivering privacy. The Sektor 25 partitioning system was chosen for its frameless aesthetic and acoustic properties, which provided a performance of up to 39db to limit the impact of noise from the practical golf teaching facilities.”

Craig Murie, managing director at SJS Property Services, added: “The Loretto Golf Academy project was an interesting and highly unique fit-out which required a level of design consideration that could only be fulfilled by a team with expert knowledge. The Sektor team offered the full package of flexible design knowledge, product availability and swift turnaround, which meant the experience for us and the end-result for our client was perfect.”
