For the first time, all of the official seminars being held at this year’s Ecobuild, which takes place from 3rd to 5th March, are CPD accredited. Event organiser UBM has worked with the Construction CPD Certification Service to ensure that each of its 80+ seminars are compatible and applicable with global Continuing Professional Development principles.
Visitors to the annual event can visit 800 plus exhibitors and access a programme of professional seminars covering seven key themes, including Designing Better Buildings and the current high-profile topic of Building Information Modelling (BIM), new for 2015 and organised in association with National Building Specification (NBS).
With the use of BIM processes being compulsory for all government projects greater than £5m in value by 2016, this seminar in particular provided an excellent opportunity for construction professionals to get up to speed on the topic while also keeping up with their CPD.
Completing the Ecobuild seminar programme were the four recurring topics of Green Energy, Refurb & Retrofit, Solar City and Building Performance, alongside Water, which was another newcomer for 2015.
